During the last throes of the Atlantic Alliance, right after the British Isles have been locked behind the Tech Curtain, Admiral Tse Deng of the New Outreach Navy returns from his nine year mission to the stars to find a certain level of stagnation has grown on Earth. By use of the Drendler Drive, he has visited a score of distant worlds, and bears news of many which can now be colonized; ones he found, explored, and categorized.'Ad Astra' is now a possibility, rather than merely a dream. The rumors of an old, mysterious 'Ad Alpha' project, launched a century earlier by the highly secretive Royal Windsors, who claimed to have built a colony on Alpha Centauri, was the closest humanity had ever gotten to reaching the stars. Tse Deng's discoveries could make real expansion into space something within the grasp of everyone alive. Mankind can now loose the bonds of Earth and Empire, and spread to become Galactic Man, as defined by Lyndon LaRouche and Tsiu Li, the popular poet and composer who launched the Great Outreach. Agape, in abundance, the love of truth and of all fellow humans will be required, however. Truth is to be found, but not in lies and deception, or investigative committees with hidden agendas. It is more likely to be discovered in the pockmarked face of a man who survived Black Plague in Africa, or the high desert wasteland of Quebrada de Humahuaca in the Andes. Villainy remembered must never slow Man's pace to the stars.
