Through the Water to the Sky is a book series of Tom Boyle's surf photography. Volume 1 Mike vs Ben centers on the Magic-Bird rivalry of the Greatest Era in bodyboarding. Mike Stewart and Ben Severson were both The Man Who Would be King on any given day. Award-winning photographer and filmmaker, Boyle helped pioneer high performance bodyboarding and documented the sport from an intimate perspective. His work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, National Geographic for Kids, Surfing, Surfer and BodyBoarding Magazine. In 1987, Boyle placed third in the world competing at Pipeline (behind Mike and Ben).
