Is it a coincidence that her son's transition happened the same day of the 40th Anniversary of her father being shot and blinded? Since the age of one, Gina had experienced one trauma after another to include emotional and physical abuse and sexual assault. Her story parallels that of many who have been abused and are currently or have been in one toxic relationship after another. Her words are meant to inspire healing, repair that which is broken, and to encourage breaking the cycle of multi-generational abuse. For every experience in life there is a polar opposite.
