Recognized as one of the modern Urdu Language Poets of the present time, Saleem Kausar became an overnight sensation after he penned "Main Khayal Houn Kisi Aur Ka," sung by Mehdi Hassan and many others. So far, Saleem Kausar has penned five books, consisting of ghazalyaat, and manzumaat, while another book comprising a collection of Naats. Kausar has worked for various newspapers along with Pakistan Television. He has been enthralling Urdu Poetry lovers, throughout the world, for the last three decades. In 2015, he was conferred the "Pride of Performance for his mesmerizing poetic work.
