Beneath the Silver City Reflection is the story of a young man named Rhian Pierce who survives a lethal conversion therapy camp after coming out.

Rhian gets a fresh start in college where he develops a close knit group of friends. He reveals the horrors of his experience at the camp as well as his account of a murder that was covered up. Rhian's friends support him when he comes out to his parents and they kick him out of their lives. Alexander Thomas, Rhian's best friend, goes further in showing him support and the boys become close.

Rhian develops feelings for Alexander and their relationship changes. The tension rises between the two until one night they make love, but Alexander pushes Rhian away. Before the boys make things right, Rhian is attacked and the map is stolen. Alexander and the rest of Rhian's friends are led to believe that he is dead.

Rhian's attackers are never found and a motive is never established. Rhian disappears from his old life without a trace.

The attack leaves Rhian's memory conveniently wiped of all memories until just before the camp. He meets and marries a woman from his church named Jerri Lynn, which gains him the approval of his family and more importantly the church. But the appearance of perfection is only skin deep and Alexander isn't completely out of the picture.

Rhian and Alexander are reunited as lovers putting Rhian's life in jeopardy again.
