"I Like it That Way!" is a simple and touching tale about a changing family relationship told through the eyes of a child. Are you a single parent wrestling with the challenges of helping your young children understand a new partner in your life? Many children struggle to adapt to the shifting dynamics of modern family life. This story shares the experience of a young child whose mom meets and falls in love with a new partner. Like so many children, our leading character experiences feelings of fear, uncertainty, doubt, and insecurity - typical of the emotions children can face as they see their parents' relationships change into something new. However, as is so often the case, our character, a small cute young fish, learns that in things that are new lie hope, opportunity, untried adventures, and unique bonds. "I Like it That Way!", the first in a series of books that shine light on typical family challenges, can be used by parents, their partners, and their former partners, to help children understand and navigate the difficult waters of changing family life.
