Publisher Marketing: Project Theory is an autobiographical history of the struggles of one man, Paul Hunt, as he grew up in one of the toughest, Housing projects, Aliso Village in Boyle Heights. As a young child trying to navigate eight city blocks claimed by over twenty different street gangs, this young Black child found a way to survive in a hood full of Latino gangs who normally should have wanted him dead, given the racial tensions of East L. A in the 1980 's and 90's . Project Theory details the stories of Paul 's real life hopes, dreams, desires for greatness and beliefs that life could be so much more that an eight by ten foot prison cell, a plot in the ground, or the fate awaiting in the streets of Boyle Heights. His true accounts of life growing up are stories that will teach educators, students, those seeking to better the world and those looking for a reason not to destroy it. Project Theory offers some serious lessons in this autobiography about how to survive and reach for greatness, even when all you see around you are people who want to hold you down. Growing up in Boyle Heights in the Aliso Village Housing projects, it's easy to assume that life is filled with nothing but misery and despair, but in the autobiography provided in this book, you will come to realize that for much of Paul's life, he was able to find happiness. The accounts in this novel are all real, as are the stories of heartache, struggle, and ultimately those of success.
