Olly and Tilly Peterson have a mysterious black Stone passed to them by Grandpa that enables them to understand birds and animals, use telepathy and healing, plus much more when they face evil. M. I. C. E. approached them for help in 'M. I. C. E. and the Stone' and continues to do so, leading them and their friends Kiran and Daniel Akram into scary adventures, helped by engaging characters such as three mice who are technology wizards, a faithful dog, a feisty budgie and an rabbit with degrees in ancient languages. The novels are set mainly in West and North Yorkshire but action also takes place in London, England and Washinton D. C.
