When earth is threatened with total annihilation an unlikely individual is chosen by the UN Security Council as earth?s emissary to negotiate a reprieve with the aliens. On his return he is shot at by government agents and threatened with judicial enquiries into his actions. He is accused by some of being part of the conspiracy to disarm earth; by others that it is a Chinese or Russian plot to get the United States to disarm. Will the agreement with the aliens be honored by all nations?
