Through its long history, Anderson Valley-located in Northern California's Mendocino County-has changed significantly, and yet this book shows that in some ways it has altered very little. By presenting old and new photographs of selected buildings and homes, accompanied by brief "biographies," this book provides a journey through history. The reader is encouraged to literally take an excursion along the length of the Valley and, by using the mile markers provided, observe and learn about the sixty locations that are featured alongside or near to Highway 128. Then and Now is intended to appeal to both local folks and visitors alike as an interesting and useful publication that will increase their historical awareness of this unique place.
