One of the easiest things to do is communicate?to talk, exchange ideas, perspectives and points of views. However, it wasn?t until I entered the workforce, and later study conflict resolution, that I realized communication is easy but it?s the interpretation that causes nations to go to war, relationships to end, and otherwise qualified workers to lose their jobs. There are brothers and sisters, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters that are not talking to one another because of the way someone interpreted an innocent comment or conversation. In my over 25 years of teaching and counseling, I?ve encountered married couples who are on the verge of a separation or divorce because of misunderstood communication and/or no communication.
