Does children's nutrition influence their mental development? This question is asked frequently today. In most instances the answer, coming as the real result of extensive study, is that nutrition and mental development are definitely interrelated. It happens that the question is often asked only in regard to brain development, yet research clearly shows concrete links between the two poles of spiritual-mental activity and the physical human brain. For a clear understanding of these connections, an approach is needed that, on the one hand, is able to develop a true picture of the human being, and, on the other, is able to see through to the interdependent activities of the human organization and its environment. The method that allows us to forge ahead to real understanding was established by Rudolf Steiner as modern research through Spiritual Science (or Anthroposophy).
