Active in presbytery and General Assembly ministries, she was elected Moderator of the 215th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in May 2003. Andrews holds degrees from Wellesley College (B. A.), Harvard Divinity School (M. Div.), and McCormick Theological Seminary (D. Min.). A prolific writer, she has been published in Lectionary Homiletics, Christian Century, and Christian Ministry.
