A Witch’s Year: Journey Through The Changing Seasons In A Constant Process Of Unfolding And Becoming.
Levannah Morgan
A Witch’s Year is a compendium of magic, lore, rituals, observances, spells, crafts, meditations, visualisations and all manner of practices that will bring you into a deeper relationship with all the beings who share this world with us, with the spirit world and with the gods. Written by one of Britain’s most well-respected and influential witches, and superbly illustrated by Nooka Shepherd, with every passing month, you will discover how this great tide works through your magical life: how the great time cycles animate life, about the goddesses and gods, the world of spirit, and how to live here in this world now. Praise for A Witch’s Year ‘An excellent handbook of seasonal magic and celebration, the work of a very experienced and informed practitioner, with a rich abundance of original rituals, spells and handicrafts.’ Ronald Hutton ~ Professor of history and author ‘In A Witch's Year, the fabulously erudite and straight-talking Levannah Morgan guides us through the rhythmic pulses of magic; the season, the tides, the phases of the moon and more.
Each month she shares practical things to do, ways of marking and connecting with the magic and the raw physicality of the season, as well as meditations and ritual work. Expect athames and knitting needles as magical tools here, and advice on natural dyes as well as esoteric theory.’ Julian Vayne ~ British independent scholar and authorNooka Shepherd is a multi-media artist who explores the internal landscapes in paint, sculpture and embroidery. Nooka’s work shares a deeply personal and intimate relationship with the natural world.
