D Marston delivers dystopian poetic prose that takes us to a world devastated by a plague which animates the dead from their graves. A world of ghostless antagonists which have spilled forth from their tombs, seeking to dispatch the lives of the living. We find that the vainer of civil society is far to thin to bare up against the weight of such miseries. Leaving in its wake a fragmented world of madness, terror and despair. Those who survive must find the courage and conviction to restore their humanity in the face of such deprivation. Not a reclaiming of what mankind had once been but an emotional and innovative laying claim to something new.
