Harvest Homicide: a China Connection (The Winemaker Series) (Volume 2) Steven M Wells 1. izdevums

Eric Savage loves wine. Not just drinking it, but crafting it. His winery, Blue Mountain Cellars of Walla Walla, is the critics' new darling. Eric is now a Winemaker to Watch in the local press. Life is good. Until it isn't. A corpse is found in a vineyard and Eric's best wine disappears.

Eric enlists the help of FBI Special Agent Ashley Hunter to investigate the crime. When the trail leads to a shipping container bound for Shanghai, Eric ignores the warnings of the county sheriff and flies to China. With the help of engaging and erratic private investigator Jiao Ming, Eric follows the trail to the remote wine regions of Ningxia. Dangerous counterfeiters and a kidnapping complicate Eric's quest to find his wine and the killer. Immersed in China's past, Eric also discovers the future of the country's emerging wine industry.

Written in a style one reader called, the Tom Clancy of Winemaking, Harvest Homicide blends real world winemaking with notes of suspense, hints of intrigue, and a blockbuster finish.

Though I traditionally prefer nonfiction, I couldn?t put this novel down. J. Havlin, owner Havlin Vineyard, Oregon and former Shanghai resident.

Harvest Homicide realistically describes the areas of Shanghai, Xi?an and Yinchuan, suggesting the author patiently researched the history and culture of these regions. As a former Hong Kong resident, I was impressed. Not only was the story enjoyable, it was also very authentic. P. K. Wong, Sydney, Australia.
