The Monkey and Chain of Life (Volume 1)
Nadereh Oweissi
?The Monkey and chain of life, is an amalgam of Iranian culture and politics. This mixture of fiction and nonfiction gives an amazing story of an Iranian girl named Azadeh that accidentally got involved with Afghani drug Traficant in Iran. To find a way out, she had to make many decisions. But she bravely chose the road less traveled. This story portrays a picture of the people in my country, Iran. I have attempted to find a way among the homicides, accidents, deaths, and ill fortunes to put my thoughts together. The story depicts effort and perseverance in the face of life?s challenges, all expressed in simple diction. Even when imagination is at work, the story has reflections of underlying truth and reality.?
