The Stifled Piper and Other Strange Characters: Poems to Amuse and Bemuse
Ken Anderson
Most people see the world as it is meant to be, but a fortunate few see things a bit off-kilter. Ken Anderson is one of those lucky ones. Delectably offbeat, humorous, and tinged with just a touch of the absurd, The Stifled Piper and Other Strange Characters reflects his quirky views in verse.
Inspired by everyday life but magnified with a vivid imagination, Anderson?s world is populated by memorable title characters, including: ?The Stifled Piper?, whose wife tamed his fearsome bagpipe playing with cotton and oatmeal; ?The Frozen Skier?, on a midwinter, cross-country ski vacation in Winthrop, Washington; and ?The Caledonian Chopper?, a demon terrorizing the roads astride his hellish motorbike.
You?ll laugh, you?ll scratch your head, and you?ll look at your every day with a refreshingly light-hearted irreverence.
