Sweetness of the Struggle (SOS) includes twenty-seven personal stories elaborating on how this diverse group responded to their life altering experiences. All of them have had an impact on the life of the author, Reva Camiel. These inspiring stories show how this rainbow of people has used tragedy, adversity and creative moments to reshape their lives. Zana "I often felt I'd somehow come from another planet. Daniel, forty-year-old male, "I'll probably die in this life of crime. " A 17 year old incarcerated female "I felt the humiliation from my nerves to my bones." Akef, a Palestinian male "I took my rocking chair and left." Cora SOS also includes concrete tools for making decisions and handling difficult situations.
