Tabloid journalist Peter Woods was only trying to get the story on the little known Canadian Civil War and break out of the obscurity that was his career. He got more than he bargained for when he met up with a former associate, the evil Dr. Sanchez. Aided by two genetically engineered children, Woods escaped the arctic hell only to back into an academic mystery that had been covered up for some 500 years by D'Enzi, a fanatical sect long disavowed by the Catholic Church.
