Everyone suffers a loss in life, the loss of a job, a divorce, or other types of disruptions. We all react differently to life's transitions. It requires a certain type of mindset, new information, introspection and honesty to navigate the process. The goal should always be to become better and not bitter but sometimes that is easier said than done. Years earlier, as a single parent with two small children, I returned to school. I attended and graduated from college. I was older but I dreamed of a better life for me and my children. After college, I had an amazing career. I climbed the corporate ladder and reached a level that I had never imagined; I thought that I had arrived. When my life was negatively impacted by a job loss at the height of my career, God used the experience to teach me about me. I also got to know God in a more intimate way. It was through this loss that I realized that I had not come close to what God had in store for my life. In this book, I share very transparently how God used the principles found in His Word to challenge me to renew my mind and to change my reality.
