Another collection of short documentary films produced by the Rank Organisation in the 1960s to show at the Odeon and Gaumont cinemas. The shorts were designed to replace cinematic newsreels, which had been rendered largely redundant by the increasing prevalence of television sets and televisual news broadcasts. This volume contains 42 digitally restored films, many unseen since their initial cinematic broadcast, that explore themes relating to sport and games in Britain and include a look at the growth of winter sports in Scotland and the Grand National.
