This work presents, for the first time together, two early modern everyman plays in which the radical changes of the Reformation era are reflected - a distinctive excerpt from a history of subject matter that reaches from the late antiquity to Hofmannsthal and further to Philip Roth. The introduction, translation and commentary make the works available to a broader audience.
