The study uses historical models from systematic theology with reference to Biblical traditions and draws on philosophical concepts to demonstrate how the concealment of God is a necessary correlate of his revelation, but one which must be overcome. It becomes clear that the dialectic of God's invisibility and visibility is related both to the inner relationship of God and man, but also to their relationship to each other. When invisibility is transformed into revelation, God and Man are realised in and with each other. This happens especially in divine service.
