With its bloody history that was supposedly laid to rest, the inhabitants of Warlock, a pretty but remote university town on the rugged Cambrian Coast, get on with their lives despite the bitter divisions between Campus and Town. But when a student's body turns up murdered in violent and macabre circumstances, old divisions resurface whilst powerful and mysterious forces in the form of the Oukacha Foundation and the British government's security services. Both are drawn to the Town and its nearby forbidden zones seeking something which just might change the course of history. For DCI Cunnigham, this is a town where the dead refuse to rest easy.
