When Daphne Ruskin was forced to take her vacation time from her job as a Nurse Practitioner, she thought that a quiet, secluded summer on the west coast of Ireland was a perfect way to spend her spare time. When a major accident leaves her as the interim caretaker to a village of 500 people, she finds herself not as secluded as she thought she would be. In particular, the handsome stranger Ryan Tierney draws her attention. As Daphne battles her own hang ups over relationships, Ryan becomes ever present in her life. Unknown to Daphne, she is missed more at her home in New Jersey than she realizes. Her absence from work is noticed by a frequent ER patient, Derrick Anders, who vows to make Daphne his own.
