Comeback is a compelling, moving and inspiring story of how one man, Douglas Sandoval, overcame penury and violence at home and in the war, suffering, family loss and abandonment and trauma in his native El Salvador to seek a better life in United States. But it's also a story that tells of his enduring more hardships, family disruption, and personal trauma as an immigrant in adapting to and trying to find his place in a new country and losing himself and ending with his violence towards his mother. Given the massive media and public attention and concern about immigration and immigrants--legal and otherwise--from El Salvador and Central America, it's an even more compelling story for our times.

It's also a greater story of how one man suffering with many loses finds a way to survive and thrive in an unknown land. The story tells how he went from a fit and overall content man to a broken physically and emotionally in a matter of a night. His near death experience as a trucker in a vehicle accident left him lost in many ways, including leaving him fighting for his life. Against all the odds, he survived and discovered the importance of true life. Along the way, he discovered the power of family, faith, and the belief in himself.

This is a story of mercy, courage and faith that brings with it a message for all those who have plummeted to the depths of pain, depression and physical and emotional trauma and are in the journey to comeback.

Douglas' story is more than just an inspirational story by being a testimony of what he believes to be the most important part Love. Although he lost his way in his early years, he was able to confine himself in his all the people and faith to achieve the impossible. Achieving his 50th birthday is something that was unheard of under the conditions he was in when he life the hospital and yet, he is sharing story to give people hope to try to do the impossible.
