Also holding them as God reaches down to bring your Momma to Heaven and then two weeks later holding your Daddy as again God reaches down and brings him home to Him and Momma. Parents dying in the arms of their daughter can only be endured by faith...and that is God's awesome mercy and amazing grace. And in that is the promise of God saying "You can handle this." Author Cindy Nelson Smith lived these words as she and her family watched her parents go through the sicknesses and various trials and pain and broken hearts that life can bring. Only a loving and merciful Father can bring you through these and all things in life. It is a promise that He will not let us go through anything without Him and His helper, the Holy Spirit, as well as the sacrifice and ever-present love of His Son, Jesus. It's a promise that will not change and will last forever through in any situation. Life is not easy; Jesus even told us that. Even so, we are not alone, ever. We have to trust in the promises of God. He will help us, love us, and guide us; He will not give us more than we can endure. God doesn't break His promises, and that's a promise too.
