Logan's people have gone many years without mates and children. If mates are not found soon their people will cease to exist. When the King grants the ceremony that will allow them to locate their mates the young adults begin preparations. Now they must obtain the Goddesses blessing, then journey into the human world to find their mates. There is much fear of discovery by the humans, as well as the predators of the deep. Elijah has always been special. His grandmother used to tell him all the time that he had a gift. He had visions sometimes of things to come. As he's gotten older the visions have come more frequently and were sometimes accompanied with an impression or feeling. Like the vision that tells him he and his boyfriend, Levi, need to travel to a beach location during a time when a storm is ramping up because a man was coming for them. Levi had fallen in love with Elijah the moment he set eyes on him. When Elijah had shared his gift with him he hadn't hesitated to believe. With a powerful father, who felt his son should not be associated with people of Elijah's questionable background and who is father believed was a con artist, the two men take to the road in an attempt to stay clear of his father and have a normal life together. Now that they've found each other they have to travel back to the islands of Logan's people, out of the reach of Levi's father, but will his people accept that he has two mates when others have none?
