A crepe is a type of a very thin pancake. The word has a French origin, deriving from Latin language from the word crispa meaning "curled". Crepes are made from wheat flour or buckwheat flour, but it is not usually the case. It can be made from whole grain flour or any other type of flour. Despite the flour usually are added water, eggs and milk. Crepes are really popular worldwide. Their origin is associated with the region Brittany which is placed in the northwest of France. Crepes are really popular in every part of France, Belgium, Quebec and many other parts of Europe, America, Asia, North Africa and the Southern Cone of South America. Crepes can be served in many ways. The simplest way is only with sugar, but there are a lot of fillings for crepes such as honey, cream, ice cream, fruits, cheese, vegetables and so on.
